JUBA, April 24 -- On the occasion of the 30th World Book Day, the 11th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) carried out a series of cultural activities such as teaching visits, book donations, and reading and sharing speeches in the mission area, thereby building a bridge for cultural exchanges between Chinese peacekeepers and local people.
Since its deployment to the mission area, while undertaking various authorized tasks and providing humanitarian assistance, the Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion has actively conducted cultural exchange activities such as traditional artistic performances and reading and sharing events. The Chinese peacekeepers have been taking concrete actions to safeguard peace and tranquility in a foreign land and enhance the profound friendship between the people of China and Africa with cultural ties.
