The 13th Chinese peacekeeping engineering contingent to South Sudan was invited to a special event organized by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to honor the International Day of UN Peacekeepers. The Chinese peacekeepers were reviewed at the event, and introduced traditional cultural performances to fellow UN peacekeepers. The Chinese peacekeepers have successfully repaired over 180 kilometers of supply routes, surveyed more than 500 kilometers of roads and completed over 40 engineering projects in the country, thus not only facilitated the movement of essential supplies and improved logistics, but also contributing to overall development and progress in the region.
