Chinese peacekeepers to South Sudan hold a rally before departure.
BEIJING, Dec. 4 -- Recently, the 11th Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion to South Sudan (Juba) and the 15th Chinese peacekeeping engineer contingent to South Sudan (Wau) held a mobilization rally.
Since their establishment in September, the two taskforces have conducted comprehensive drills according to mission requirements and passed related capability assessments, which have enhanced the troops' abilities to complete various tasks and respond to emergencies.
It is learned that the two troops will soon fly to the mission areas for a one-year peacekeeping mission.
