JAKARTA, Dec. 2 -- The China-Indonesia Peace (Heping) Garuda-2024 joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise kicked off on December 1 at several camps of the Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) in the Special Regional Province of Jakarta and Banten Province, Indonesia.
The two sides held emblem wearing, questions and exchanges, group photos and other activities at the opening ceremony. Commanders of the two sides addressed the ceremony, saying that participating troops of the two militaries will consolidate and develop China-Indonesia traditional friendship through exchange of skills and in-depth communication.
After the ceremony, the participating troops of the two sides entered into the phase of joint natural disaster relief operation drills as planned. During the joint exercise, the two sides will have in-depth exchanges on operational methods and concepts, training models, military culture and others.
