GUANGZHOU, Nov. 8 -- The Fourth Symposium on Military Medicine of the China-Africa Peace and Security Forum , hosted by China's Ministry of National Defense and organized by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Academy of Military Sciences , was wrapped up in Guangzhou City, south China's Guangdong Province, on Thursday. Leaders of military health departments and medical experts from over 20 African countries attended the symposium with the theme of "Enhance China-Africa Military Medical Exchanges and Cooperation in the New Era".
During the event, delegates had in-depth discussions on medical service management and innovation, war wounds and trauma treatment and other topics. The Chinese delegates shared scientific achievements relating to such fields as regional infectious diseases prevention and control, health protection against radiation damage and military medical institution modernization efforts. The African delegates highly acknowledged the achievements of the China-Africa cooperation on military medicine.
