BEIJING, Sept. 19 -- From September 11 to 15, during the live drills in the first stage of the Northern/Interaction-2024 exercise, the Chinese and Russian naval and air troops completed multiple subjects in a sea area in the Sea of Japan in the forms of confrontation between red and blue forces and alternate command, thereby fully examining the tactical command coordination and joint operational capabilities of the two sides.
During the joint sea strike drill, the maritime joint operations group of the red side locked the vessels of the blue side based on the targeting data fed by the air troops, and conducted simulated missile strikes.
According to Commander Dong Kai of Chinese participating troops, they carried out drills on subjects such as main gun firing at the sea and anchorage ground defense at nighttime, enabling them to effectively respond to various sudden enemy activities under night conditions and achieve the intended outcomes of the drills.
