The UN inspectors check vehicles attached to the Chinese Peacekeeping Multi-Role Engineering Company.
BEIRUT, Aug. 14 -- The 22nd Chinese peacekeeping multi-role engineering company to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) successfully passed the United Nations' 2024 third-quarter equipment assessment with high standards and earned unanimous praise and high acclaim from the UNIFIL inspection team on Tuesday, local time.
It is learned that the headquarters of UNIFIL sent a 12-official inspection team from 11 departments, including operations, engineering, civil affairs, transportation, and health. They conducted a comprehensive inspection and assessment of the 22nd Chinese Peacekeeping Multi-Role Engineering Company to the UNIFIL. The inspection covered 1,000 items across 15 categories, including water and electricity systems, mechanical vehicles, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) equipment, weapons and ammunition, communication devices, and medical facilities.
After more than five hours of evaluation and analysis, the head of the inspection team, Olekha , gave a thumbs-up to the Chinese peacekeepers. He said that all items in the Chinese Camp met the standards and Chinese peacekeepers have demonstrated excellent quality. He also expressed his gratitude to Chinese peacekeepers for their great efforts.
