ANTANANARIVO, Aug.6 -- On the morning of August 2, local time, the Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark on Mission Harmony-2024 left the Antsiranana Port, Madagascar after its successful first visit to Madagascar, and headed to Mozambique, its fourth destination.
During the seven-day visit, the hospital ship provided medical service to local residents, Chinese organization staff, and overseas Chinese. The medical team treated more than 7,000 people, completed 2,986 auxiliary examinations, successfully performed 171 operations, and admitted 19 inpatients, receiving warm welcome and widespread praise from the local people.
In addition to providing medical treatment on the ship, multiple medical teams were dispatched to local villages and hospitals to conduct medical tours, joint consultations, first aid skills training, and academic exchanges. In addition, representatives of the Chinese hospital ship also carried out cultural exchanges and sports events to enhance mutual trust and deepen friendship between the two sides.
