VIENTIANE, Dec. 11 -- The 10th batch of medical team dispatched by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) to Laos arrived in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on December 8 for a 6-month medical aid task.
According to the needs of the Laos side, the 10th Chinese medical team is composed of nine experts from urology, neurosurgery, cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology.
The deputy director of the Health Bureau of the General Logistics Department of the Lao People's Army(LPA) said at the welcoming ceremony that China has been sending military medical expert teams to bring advanced medical equipment and technical support to Laos, which has greatly improved the diagnosis technology and treatment level of the Military Hospital 103 of the LPA and made positive contributions to promoting the construction of a community with a shared future between Laos and China and deepening the friendship between the two peoples.
Li Bing, defense attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, said that since 2019, the Chinese PLA has dispatched multiple batches of medical expert teams to the Military Hospital 103 of the LPA to promote in-depth cooperation between the Chinese and Lao militaries and improve the Lao army's medical support capabilities.
Wang Fuli, head of the 10th Chinese medical team, said that they will continue to improve the medical level of the Military Hospital 103 of the LPA with highly responsible attitude and excellent skills.
