ZHANJIANG, Nov. 22 -- The Aman Youyi (Peace and Friendship) 2023 joint exercise entered the phase of joint commanding drill on the morning of November 21. Commanding and staff officers from China, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam held comprehensive and in-depth exchanges centering on joint forces employment, joint support and other subjects.
It is learned that the joint commanding drill, carried out in four steps including situation estimate, mission analysis, decision making and plan formulation, aimed to enhance the troops' capabilities of joint operation planning, commanding and disposition, further deepen friendly mutual trust among all parties, and promote the capabilities of jointly responding to multiple security threats.
The Aman Youyi-2023 joint exercise kicked off in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong Province, on November 13. Being the first one held in China, this year's exercise embraces the largest number of participating countries in its series.
