BEIJING, Sept. 28 -- To strengthen the protection and standardized management of the memorial facilities for martyrs, China's Ministry of Veterans Affairs (MVA) recently announced the launch of specialized logo and signboard.
The logo for the memorial facilities of martyrs is designed to be a monument-shaped emblem in a golden hue, incorporating a red star, inscriptions representing "immortal", monument, stairway and other elements. It denotes the lofty belief of the martyrs and reflects the respect, praise and commemoration for the heroes attached by the Party and the whole nation, which will be applied in the martyr memorial facilities at all levels of the country.
The memorial signboard issued at the same time, which also has the newly-designed logo on it, indicates the basic information of the memorial facility, such as name, protection level and others.
Meanwhile, the MVA simultaneously issued the measures for the use of the logo, clarifying corresponding requirements of its production, application and management.
The Measures emphasized that all Chinese organizations and citizens should correctly use the logo and signboards, respect and remember the heroes' sacrifices and contributions. No one shall make, sell or use the protection logo and signboard without approval.
