KAMPONG CHHNANG, Cambodia, March 27 – The Chinese and Cambodian soldiers participating in the "Golden Dragon 2023" joint military exercise started adaptive training on March 25. They jointly organized live-fire shooting with multiple types of weapons, including automatic rifles, sniper rifles and heavy machine guns, and got acquainted with the combat performances of different equipment from counterpart, which further enhanced the mutual trust and coordination between the two forces.
It is learned that the two sides had communicated several times to formulate the training plans together. Both sides dispatched several coaches to carry out detailed elaboration and on-site demonstration on various types of weapons, and then organized targeted training based on their different usages and firing distances.
In the adaptive training, frequent and extensive interaction enabled the success of live-fire shooting exercise with various weapons, laying a solid foundation for coordination training in the following stage.
On the same day, the medical experts from China’s Joint Logistic Support Force and the Cambodia military made exchanges centered on the theme of this joint exercise, that is, security for major events and humanitarian relief operation, in the Preah Ket Mealea Hospital. They focused on casualty evacuation, emergency treatment, diagnostic test and other topics, which aimed to explore the new models of medical support for the two armies.
