KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 -- The 45th Chinese naval escort taskforce made a technical stop at Port Klang in Malaysia on May 2, for a four-day replenishment and rest.
At around 10:00 a.m. on May 2, the destroyer Urumqi, the frigate Linyi and the comprehensive supply ship Dongpinghu attached to the 45th Chinese naval escorttaskforce, decorated withthe national flags of China and Malaysia, pulled into Port Klang, Malaysia. More than 200 people, including representatives of the Malaysian military, staff of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, representatives of Chinese companies and overseas Chinese, came to welcome the taskforce.
During the stopover, the two sides held official visits, friendly sports games, deck receptions and other exchange activities.
