KUNMING, Oct. 22 -- Recently, the troops participating in the China-Thailand "Commando 2024" joint army training conducted a counter-terrorism response drill at a training ground.
Upon receiving the mission order, the participating troops of the two sides immediately organized pre-combat discussion and developed course of actions. The two sides had careful and in-depth exchanges focusing on search and suppression in confined space and related techniques and tactics including capturing, searching and checking.
During the drill, several mixed groups covertly approached the building controlled by the "terrorists" by advancing in multiple routes to occupy advantageous positions and get ready for the assault. Subsequently, the participating troops completed the search and suppression of the target building with perfect collaboration.
"The counter-terrorism response drill not only forges the practical skills of search and suppression, but also promotes the mutual trust and friendship between the participating troops of the two sides," said the commander of the Chinese troops.
