BEIJING, Oct. 17 -- The China Coast Guard (CCG) expelled the Japanese fishing vessel Tsurumaru that unlawfully entered the waters of China's Diaoyu Dao from October 15th to 16th. The CCG took necessary control measures and warned them away according to law, said Liu Dejun, a spokesperson for the CCG.
"Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islands have all along been China's territory, we urge the Japanese side to immediately cease all illegal activities in these waters," said the spokesperson, adding that the CCG vessels will continue to carry out maritime rights protection and law enforcement operations in the waters under China's jurisdiction in accordance with the law to safeguard China's national sovereignty, security and maritime rights and interests.
