LOMBOK, Indonesia, May 7 (ChinaMil) -- Two Chinese warships participating in the Komodo 2018 multilateral naval exercise joined the international fleet review hosted by the Indonesian Navy along with naval ships of other countries at the waters off Indonesia’s Lombok on Saturday.
The fleet review began at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Fifty naval ships from 34 countries formed four columns at the anchorage area, the participating sailors man the rails aboard their ships.
The guided-missile destroyer Changsha (DDG-173) and the guided-missile frigate Liuzhou (FFG-573) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy took part in the fleet review.
In the air, three echelons of ship-borne helicopters and four echelons of fixed-wing warplanes from the participating navies flew past the sky over the formations of warships.
Also on Saturday, according to agenda of the exercise, the Chinese Navy sailors participated in drills of engineering civic action program (ENCAP), table-top exercise, experts' lectures, city parade, cultural performance and other multilateral exchange activities.
