Ren Guoqiang, male, was born in 1975 in Shandong Province.

He was enrolled in the PLA Xi'an Army College in 1991. Ren had served successively as cadet, assistant translator, secretary, company commander, director of the political section, staff officer, and director of the policy research office of the general affairs bureau of the Foreign Affairs Office of the China’s Ministry of National Defense (MND). Senior Colonel Ren Guoqiang was appointed deputy director of the Information Office of the MND and spokesperson of the MND in February 2016. Ren had received a master’s degree in military science from the National Defense University of the PLA.

Senior Colonel Ren Guoqiang is married and has a son.
