BEIJING, July 23 – In recent days, naval sailors from the Vietnam People's Navy's Frigate Tran Hung Dao (Hull 015), currently on a goodwill visit to Guangzhou, the capital city of south China's Guangdong Province, have engaged in a series of exchange activities with their Chinese Navy counterparts.
During the folk art showcase, Chinese naval sailors performed cultural programs such as guzheng (a Chinese plucked zither) solos and bianlian (Sichuan Opera face-changing). In turn, Vietnamese naval sailors sang classic Chinese songs and performed the traditional Vietnamese conical hat dance.
At a military port in Guangzhou, troops from the Chinese and Vietnamese navies visited each other's warships. Aboard the Chinese naval guided-missile frigate Enshi (Hull 627), Chinese sailors introduced the ship's weapon systems, equipment and routine training. Through the exchange activities, the two navies further deepened mutual understanding and strengthened friendship.
