BEIJING, Mar. 17 -- The Vietnamese naval taskforce arrived at the port of Fangchenggang in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on March 16, as the 10th China-Vietnam Border Defense Friendship Exchange kicked off.
During the exchange, the two navies will conduct the 40th joint patrol in the Beibu Gulf in a combined formation. The two sides will also organize activities including border free medical services, military-civilian cultural and sports exchanges, and a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument to the revolutionary martyrs of the Chinese and Vietnamese people.
The Chinese PLA Navy's frigates Hengyang (Hull 568) and Enshi (Hull 627) participated in the related activities together with theVietnam People's Navy's frigates Tran Hung Dao (Hull 015) and Ly Thai To (Hull 012).
