NOUAKCHOTT, Sept. 16 -- The Chinese PLA Navy's hospital ship Auspicious Ark, which is carrying out "Mission Harmony-2026", arrived at the Port of Nouakchott in the Mauritanian capital on September 15, 2026 for a seven-day friendly visit.

Mauritania is the first stop of "Mission Harmony-2026", and this marks the second visit to the country by a Chinese naval hospital ship.

Following the welcoming ceremony, the commander of the Mauritanian Navy toured the ship and held talks with representatives of the Chinese naval sailors.

During the visit, the hospital ship Auspicious Ark will provide medical services to the local residents. The Chinese and Mauritanian sides will also conduct medical exchanges, cultural exchange activities and other events.
