BEIJING, July 16 -- Heavy rainfall has affected many parts of the Northeast China in recent days, causing water levels in rivers such as the Mudanjiang River and the Heilongjiang River to rise rapidly.
In response to the emergency, Chinese military members in Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang provinces rushed to carry out flood-control operations, including reinforcing embankments and patrolling dikes, making every effort to safeguard the lives and property of the people.
