PORT OF CORINTO, Nicaragua, Nov. 12 -- On November 10,  the Chinese naval hospital ship Silk Road Ark (Hull 867), which is on the Mission Harmony 2025, arrived at the Port of Corinto in Nicaragua for a five-day technical stop. This marks the first time a Chinese naval vessel has docked in Nicaragua.

At around 8:00 a.m. on Nov. 10, 2025, the hospital ship Silk Road Ark, decorated with the national flags of China and Nicaragua, pulled into the Port of Corinto accompanied by the Nicaraguan Navy's patrol boats.

Nicaraguan military and political dignitaries, staff of the Chinese Embassy in Nicaragua, and representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese, held a welcome ceremony at the dock. During the stop, the Silk Road Ark hospital ship will carry out medical exchanges, visits, and other activities with local hospitals.
