BEIRUT, Nov. 11 -- The 23rd Chinese Peacekeeping Level One Plus Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) recently carried out the dedicated medical assistance activities for women in the peacekeeping mission area in southern Lebanon at the invitation of the UNIFIL.
The series of medical assistance activities began in late September. The Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent went to the local villages lacking medical resources to provide dedicated medical support for women in poverty.
Traditional Chinese medicine services such as acupuncture and cupping therapy were also provided in addition to gynecological treatment. The Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent even produced specialized popular science videos in Arabic to promote knowledge about the women's health systematically.
The 23rd Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent also prepared souvenirs for the participants. What they brought to the local people was not only health, but also the friendship built on understanding and respect.
