A task unit composed of the guided-missile frigates Bayannur (Hull 551) and Tongliao (Hull 554) attached to a naval flotilla under the Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command recently conducted maritime training exercise in the waters of the South China Sea. The training thoroughly examined the troops' air and sea operational capabilities.
