While the unmanned equipment is reshaping the future battlefield, a classical Chinese infantry tactic, the Three-Three Tactic, is being carried forward through the formation of ground-based quadrupedal robots, also known as "robot wolves".
The tactic is executed by a combat team consisting of three "robot wolves", each of which plays a distinct role.
The combat robot conducts fire assaults, the transport robot carries ammunition for infantry, and reconnaissance robot provides real-time intelligence to the rear command post and calls for various remote fire-power support.
Based on this formation, the "robot wolves" can be integrated into the manned-unmanned operational system and cooperate with traditional ground troops more effectively to carry out operations such as reconnaissance, precision strike, and suppressive fire during assaults.
