Li Shangfu
Li Shangfu, male, Han ethnicity, was born in February of 1958 and is from Xingguo, Jiangxi Province, China. He began his first job in May 1974, joined the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in August 1982 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in June 1980. He graduated from the Department of Control Theory and Control Engineering, Chongqing University and holds a Doctor of Engineering degree.
Li Shangfu is currently a member of the 20th CPC Central Committee, a member of the CPC Central Military Commission, a member of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China, State Councilor, a member of the Leading Party Members' Group of the State Council, and Defense Minister. He holds the rank of general in the PLA Army.
