A total of 13 naval vessels from China and Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Brunei, Burma, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam, steam in S-shaped formation in the waters off Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province, during the maritime maneuver phase of the China-Southeast Asian countries joint naval exercise on April 26, 2019. The three-day joint naval exercise , which concluded on April 27, focused on such subjects as formation maneuver, visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS), joint search and rescue and other 5 operations.
