Leading by the Chinese naval guided-missile destroyer Yancheng (Hull 546), a 13 naval vessels formation comprised of vessels from China and Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Brunei, Burma, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam steam in straight formation in the waters off Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province, during the maritime maneuver phase of the China-Southeast Asian countries’ joint naval exercise on April 26, 2019. The three-day joint naval exercise , which concluded on April 27, focused on such subjects as formation maneuver, visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS), joint search and rescue and other 5 operations.
