Chinese peacekeeping engineers in Mali win praise

Sgt. I Xu Jiangfeng, who is assigned to the 37-member Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment in Mali, provides security for an UN excavator which is digging a trench in Ansongo on November 1, 2015. The 37-member engineer detachment of the Chinese peacekeeping force to Mali stationed in Ansongo, a small town 98km away from the Gao Region of eastern Mali and is one of the most dangerous mission areas for the peacekeeping forces of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (UNMISM) in Mali. While, the Chinese engineers' excellent performance in completing their missions were highly praised by officials from UNMISM.
