China, Pakistan vow to enhance military logistics cooperation

  BEIJING, June 16 (ChinaMil) -- Gen. Zhao Keshi, member of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) and director of the General Logistics Department (GLD) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), met with Chief of Logistics Staff of Pakistan Army Lt. Gen. Syed Tariq Nadeem Gilani in Beijing on June 15, 2015.

  Zhao said that as an important part of China-Pakistan bilateral relations, the military-to-military relations between the two countries have developed smoothly with fruitful cooperation in various fields.

  Gen. Zhao commented positively the frequent exchange of visits made by military logistic delegations of the two countries in recent years by saying that these visits are conducive to improving the logistics support capabilities of the armed forces of the two countries.

  He hoped the Chinese PLA and the Pakistan Armed Forces could promote logistics exchange and cooperation to make contributions to world and regional peace and stability.

  Lt. Gen. Nadeem said that Pakistan and China are "good neighbors, good friends, good partners and good brothers", and the all-weather strategic partnership between the two countries is the common treasure of the two countries.

  The Pakistan Armed Forces attaches great importance to developing relations with the Chinese PLA, said Nadeem. He believes that his visit will further promote exchange and cooperation between the two militaries in the field of logistics and lift bilateral military relations to a new level.
