PLA leaders visit CPPCC military members

  BEIJING, March 3 (ChinaMil) -- Fang Fenghui, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), Zhang Yang, member of the CMC of the CPC and director of the General Political Department (GPD) of the PLA, Zhao Keshi, member of the CMC of the CPC and director of the General Logistics Department (GLD) of the PLA, and Zhang Youxia, member of the CMC of the CPC and director of the General Armaments Department (GAD) of the PLA, paid a visit to the PLA members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) attending the second session of the 12th CPPCC and made speeches on behalf of CMC Chairman Xi Jinping, other CMC leaders and PLA four general headquarters/departments at Kuntai Hotel in Beijing on the afternoon of March 2, 2014.

  The members of the specially-invited group of the PLA, as well as the members from 15 circles, including the literature and art circle, economic circle, sports circle and medical circle, attended the meeting.

  Hearing out the briefings made by Feng Jianhua, head of Personnel Department of the GPD of the PLA, the leaders of the four general headquarters/departments of the PLA raised their expectations and requirements for the CPPCC members from the PLA regarding the session and duty performance.

  The second session of the 12th CPPCC will kick off on the afternoon of March 3, 2014. At present, the military has a total of 123 CPPCC members. 121 members who came to attend this session have all reported their arrival, and 2 members have asked for sick leave.
