The third “Ye Jianying Military Scientific Research Award” and the “Award for the Outstanding Young Talents in Military Scientific Research” of the Academy of Military Sciences (AMS) of the People’s Liberation Army were unveiled on February 2, 2010. Senior research fellows Yuan Dejin and Mu Xiankui won the “Ye Jianying Military Scientific Research Award” while young researchers Wu Zhizhong, Chen Jianmin and Ye Xiongbing won the “Award for the Outstanding Young Talents in Military Scientific Research”.

　　The AMS established the “Military Scientific Research Award” named after Marshal Ye Jianying, the first AMS president and the “Award for the Outstanding Young Talents in Military Scientific Research” as well in 2006. The awards are appraised biennially.

　　Up to now, a total of 6 experts ever won the “Ye Jianying Military Scientific Research Award” and 13 people won the “Award for the Outstanding Young Talents in Military Scientific Research”.
