Third military logistics academic forum held

The Third Military Logistics Academic Forum concluded in Tianjin on December 1. More than 500 experts and scholars from such military and civilian units as the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchase, the Tianjin Communication and Logistics Association, the Academy of Military Sciences of the PLA, the National Defense University of the PLA, the Logistic Command College of the PLA, Tsinghua University and Tianjin University were present at the forum.
Themed on “integration of military-civilian logistics” and divided in two sub-forums, namely “diversified military tasks and emergent logistics” and “incorporated construction and development of military-civilian logistics”, the forum focused on raising the support capabilities of the PLA in coping with various security threats and accomplishing diversified military tasks according to the requirements of constructing military-civilian combined military logistics system put forward by the “Outline of All-roundly Building Modern Logistics” promulgated by the Central Military Commission. The participants exchanged the innovative achievements of military logistics in theory, technology and practice gained in recent years at the forum.
