To enhance the transparency of the conscription work, a website of “conscription online” was jointly opened by the Shenzhen Garrison of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and the Shenzhen Municipal Government recently.
The policies and the conditions of the conscription are all made known to the public on the website. In addition, in light of the reality that young people with a good education background are preferred in this year’s conscription, a “green passage” is opened to various graduates of the year on the campus website, three priorities are given to the graduates in registration for military service, physical checkup and political record examination as well as approval and confirmation, and the procedures of the conscription are simplified, so as to stimulate the ardor of the young people with a good education background in joining the army.
To timely reply the message left on the website, the Shenzhen Garrison also established a 24h online duty performance system at the municipal and district levels. The hits of the “conscription online” has surpassed 50,000-odd persons/times and the messages left amounted to 3,728 pieces since the opening of the website and above 150 young people of the right age have been registered for military service through online registration.
