GPD and GAD hold joint meeting on security of ammunition depots of combat troops

Approved by the Central Military Commission (CMC), the General Political Department (GPD) and the General Armaments Department (GAD) of the PLA jointly held a conference on September 7 in Beijing on building up security systems in the depots of all the combat troops.
Li Jinai, member of the CMC and director of the GPD, and Chang Wanquan, member of the CMC and director of the GAD, met with the conference attendees and stressed that to build up an excellent security system for key military targets by means of preventive technologies is important for effective prevention and control of major safety accidents and an important measure for crime prevention and ensuring the safety and stability of the army.
The security technologies for safety accidents prevention in depots of general-purpose weapons and ammunitions, landmine, explosion facilities and anti-chemical and dangerous goods of the combat troops are specially discussed at the meeting. All the responsible units for the building up of the security systems for the depots of the combat troops are required to ensure high standards and high quality in doing their jobs.
