The “Collection of Military Laws and Regulations of the People’s Republic of China (2004-2008)” and the “Collection of Military Regulations of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (2004-2008)” compiled and printed by the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Central Military Commission (CMC) were published recently and will be distributed to the troop units soon.
The “Collection of Military Laws and Regulations of the People’s Republic of China (2004-2008)” has a total of 5 volumes and 4 copies, including the military volume, political volume, logistics volume, armaments volume and other volume and 146 military laws and regulations currently in effect were included.
The “Collection of Military Regulations of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (2004-2008)” has a total of 15 volumes and 20 copies, including general headquarters/departments volume, services and arms volume and military area commands volume and the “Collection of Military Regulations of the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force (2004-2008)” and 1,320 military regulations were embraced.
According to the introduction of the Legal Affairs Bureau of the CMC, since 1988, the efforts have been made for four times to collect and sort out military laws, military regulations and norms promulgated from 1949 to 2003 and totally 16 volumes and 17 copies of the “Collection of Military Laws and Regulations of the People’s Republic of China” and 59 volumes and 114 copies of the “Collection of Military Regulations of the People’s Liberation Army” were compiled and published.
